About

Tap-In is founded by Michael Whitehead, an entrepreneur, philanthropist and optimist, who is passionate about seeing organisations achieve their aims.

He is a New Zealand Prime Minister’s Business Scholarship winner, a category winner in the New Zealand EY Entrepreneur of the Year Awards, recognised as a transformative and technology leader in the New Zealand CIO100, judged the New Zealand International Business Awards, and is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors in New Zealand.

He co-founded and grew an international software company (check out wherescape.com - sold to Idera) and the best data company in New Zealand (nowconsulting.co.nz - sold to Qrious/Spark New Zealand).

And now it's time to give back.

Michael's expertise is in the tech sector, but his business knowledge is easily transferable. What he can offer is advice on things that have worked for his companies, a second opinion on the tricky questions, help with a path forward, and access to a network of really smart friends.

Michael does not take a salary from the company, and profits are used for social good.

As CEO of WhereScape Software the company won:

  • Judge’s Supreme Award for International Business at the New Zealand International Business Awards

  • Best Medium Business Award at the New Zealand International Business Awards

  • New Zealand Trade & Enterprise Services Exporter of the Year (export revenue over $10m) Award at the Air New Zealand Cargo ExportNZ Awards for Auckland and Waikato regions

  • Excellence in International Trade Award at the Westpac Auckland Business Best of the Best Awards

  • Highly Commended at the American Chamber of Commerce DHL Express Success & Innovation Awards
